Strategy Table Tool

Drilling Incident Tool ("Fish or Cut Bait")
This tool is designed to help drilling personnel to estimate the appropriate length of time to struggle with a problem incident while drilling (e.g., fish for a tool or try to manage lost returns) before falling back on a more drastic – and expensive – solution (e.g., sidetracking or setting an additional casing string).

Multi-Attribute Assessment Tool
There are often decisions to be made that, while important, don’t merit the rigor of a full and lengthy quantitative analysis. In these cases there is still great benefit to holding a structured discussion amongst stakeholders as to the criteria to be used to judge each choice under consideration and also the team’s perception as to how each choice will perform in regard to each criterion. This tool facilitates the team discussion by means of a multi-attribute / pairwise comparison assessment.

Value of Information Tool
Making a big decision would certainly be easier if you could see the future. Oftentimes there are ways to gather more information about a major uncertainty before committing to action – market studies, consumer surveys, focus groups, pilot programs, seismic acquisition, appraisal wells, and so on – but these come with a cost, delay your decision, and are not always reliable. This Value of Information (VOI) tool helps teams determine whether or not they should acquire additional information and the maximum they should be willing to pay for this information.
