Scott W. Tinker is Director of the Bureau of Economic Geology, the State Geologist of Texas, a professor holding the Allday Endowed Chair and acting Associate Dean of Research in the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin, and director of the Advanced Energy Consortium. He spent 17 years in the oil and gas industry prior to joining UT in 2000. Tinker is a Fellow of the GSA and has received the American Geoscience Institute Outstanding Contribution to the Public Understanding of the Geosciences award, the American Institute of Professional Geologists John T. Galey, Sr., Memorial Public Service Award, and was named a “Top Producer in Texas” by Texas Monthly magazine. Tinker holds appointments on the National Petroleum Council and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission; sits on the Geoscience Advisory Board at Sandia National Lab and is a Southwest Research Institute Trustee; and serves on several other private, professional, and academic boards. Scott has given over 500 invited and keynote lectures in nearly 50 countries to groups of all kinds, and most recently co-produced and is featured in the acclaimed documentary, SWITCH.

R.T. has spent 6 years with Wood Mackenzie in various research and consulting roles. Currently, he manages the company’s detailed analysis of major upstream developments through the North American Key Play service. In prior roles, he has covered the Gulf Coast and led the Rocky Mountains regional team. Mr. Dukes specializes in play description, decline curve analysis, production forecasting, and economic modelling. Mr. Dukes has also been involved with numerous domestic upstream consulting projects ranging from asset opportunity screenings, third-party valuations, due diligence, and strategic reviews. Prior to Wood Mackenzie, R.T. was a principal in a company evaluating and acquiring non-operated producing oil and gas interests. Mr. Dukes graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a bachelors degree in accounting and a masters degree in finance. He currently serves on the Former Student Advisory Board for the Professional Program in Accounting.

April Sharr has served as the Business Development Manager, Water Management for Baker Hughes since June 2014. Ms. Sharr began her career with Baker Hughes in 2009 in the Global Strategy and Corporate Development group working as a Market Intelligence Analyst and Market Intelligence Manager. Her areas of focus include emerging international unconventional markets, pressure pumping and water management. Ms. Sharr has published internal papers on the topic of unconventional oil & gas in China, Argentina and Poland and has presented externally on the topics of The Future of Water Management and Water Resource Stewardship in Oil & Gas Development. Prior to joining Baker Hughes, Ms. Sharr held various business analyst and consulting roles at Dell, Credit Agricole, PG&E, Deloitte & Touche, and SEER Technologies. Ms. Sharr obtained her BBA in Engineering Route to Business from the University of Texas at Austin, and her MBA in Finance and Marketing from Rice University.

Robert Erlich Since starting his career with Amoco in New Orleans, Bob held multiple international assignments with Amoco/BP in Latin America including Trinidad, Venezuela, Colombia and China before joining Burlington Resources as General Manager, Peru. Following the merger with ConocoPhillips, Bob returned to BP as New Ventures Manager Latin America and later spent three years as VP of Exploration for Calgary-based Petrolifera Petroleum, building an active exploration program and portfolio in Colombia and Peru. Bob joined Hess in 2011 as Senior Advisor to the SVP working on strategic exploration and acquisition projects, and in 2012 joined PanAtlantic Exploration as SVP Exploration and New Ventures. Bob earned an MSc in geology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a PhD in paleoceanography from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Bob has 34 years of E&P experience and is widely recognized and respected in the industry for his proven exploration track record.
