Dudley McManus has over 35 years of professional experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. His areas of expertise include, oil and gas operations, planning, bench marking, strategic planning, portfolio optimization, decision and risk analysis, economics, finance, negotiations, joint operations, mergers and acquisitions.
Significant Contributions
Dudley has a varied background from leading merger and acquisition projects to managing exploration and producing operations. He also has extensive experience with strategic planning and portfolio analysis. Dudley has worked in exploration, development, commercialization and new ventures covering many of the oil and gas provinces in the world.
- As the team leader of a multidiscipline team, he directed the evaluation and acquisition of a large domestic E&P company. He has also analyzed and advised management in multibillion dollar acquisitions.
- As a strategic planning manager, he helped develop and implement a risk analysis and portfolio management system. The company’s focused exploration program was transformed with world class discoveries and significantly lower finding costs.
- As an exploration and production manager, his team was able to increase operating income while increasing reserves. He worked with service companies and contractors to develop and implement win-win strategies to maintain production from declining fields.
- He has led engagement teams to help clients develop solutions to their most complex problems. Problems are evaluated using a systematic approach tempered with practicality. Understanding of key value drivers and insight to mitigating risks are outcomes of this approach. Some of the significant projects include:
